Ninja Turtles return in Ubisoft game; WebVisible hires Ronald Burr.
The Ninja Turtles Are Back. Pereira & O’Dell launched a campaign for the new Ubisoft title “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up.” The effort combines banner ads, video, limited-run posters, and a TV spot. A Web site allows visitors to shuffle characters in gameplay footage and to view weapons and special moves unique to the game.
Local online marketing firm WebVisible hired Ronald Burr as chief operating officer. Burr co-founded NetZero and was later chief product officer for LRN, a provider of enterprise software and online learning products.
Video ad network TidalTV named two top execs to replace outbound Chief Revenue Officer Brad Elders. Tom McMahon, 40, was promoted from general counsel and chief administration officer to chief revenue officer. Current CFO Mike Woosley, 41, will take on the extra role of chief operating officer.
Mochila hired Mary Jo Romeo as VP, ad sales. Romeo joins the content syndication and ad company from BabyCenter.com, owned by Johnson & Johnson, where she was VP, sales and client services. Earlier she was VP, regional manager at The Weather Channel.
Hearst Magazines Digital Media integrated ShopLocal’s SmartCircular into Kaboodle.com. The first placement on Kaboodle, a social shopping service, features weekly deals and offers from Target. Weekly ad units will appear on Kaboodle and other Hearst women’s sites through January.
