Execs & Accounts: PointRoll, Yahoo, Organic, Specific Media

PointRoll joins Yahoo’s Smart Ads program. Rich media firm PointRoll will tap Yahoo’s ad-targeting technology to deliver those ads to the right audiences, according to PointRoll CEO Jason Tafler. PointRoll’s ShopLocal retail ads will also be part of the Smart Ads program. Yahoo and PointRoll didn’t disclose the financial details of the partnership. Three months ago, Yahoo opened the Smart Ads platform to Teracent and Tumri, companies that offer technology to populate ad creative with dynamic content.

Ben Arno joins Organic as VP, engagement management. Arno, who will be based in New York City, will lead Organic’s relationship with Procter & Gamble and will work closely with Bank of America. Before joining Organic as VP, Arno was a consultant conducting digital strategy and global brand building with Organic clients such as Bank of America Home Loans and Global Wealth Management. Prior to that, he was global business director at DDB. He will report to Minna Rhee, SVP and GM of Organic’s New York office.

Specific Media promotes two executives.Perry Nusbaum has been named SVP, agency relations at the ad network; he was previously, VP, Eastern U.S. sales. Bill Schild has been appointed to lead the Eastern U.S. sales territory; he was previously regional vice president, East Coast sales.

It’s smackdown time for Gorilla Nation.The digital brand sales company said it’s been hired as the North American digital sales representatives to support World Wrestling Entertainment. Gorilla Nation will work with WWE’s integrated media sales and sponsorship team and represent the company’s branded online advertisement inventory for WWE.com and WWEKids.com.
