Hires at Razorfish, TBWA, Undertone and others; Yahoo layoffs hit sales team.

Razorfish named a social media head. Filiberto Selvas will serve as strategy director and social media discipline lead in the interactive marketing agency’s Seattle office. Selvas most recently was senior product manager for the Microsoft Office Live Marketing Team.

Yahoo laid off sales executives. As reported by AdAge, those layoffs include CPG Category Development Officer Brian Zeug, Technology and Telecommunications Category Development Officer Mary Bermel, Retail Category Development Officer Steven Feuling, and Finance Category Director Justin Merickel,

TBWAWorldwide hired a managing director for the Infiniti Global account. Robert Harwood-Matthews was named to the newly-created position serving the auto brand. Harwood-Matthews, currently CEO of TBWAManchester, will head up Infiniti’s global efforts out of the LA office. He’ll start in February, reporting to President of Global Clients John McNeel.

Undertone Networks hired a new CTO. The ad network named former SVP Engineering at mobile video firm Rhythm NewMedia to the role. Sabella is tasked with developing more efficient and effective systems for analytics, targeting and, monetization.

Hydra hired a creative director. The affiliate ad network created the new position for McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather vet Johnny Talisman for its in-house creative team. Along with a to-be-named senior designer, Talisman will offer marketing strategy and copy for clients before the design process begins.

TheStreet.com appointed a director of research. Colin Gillis, formerly an analyst at financial services company Canaccord Adams, will broaden the financial sites’ content offerings and subscription products.

Cutwater has launched a multimedia campaign for NVIDIA Corporation. The “Speak Visual” campaign for the graphic processing unit tech firm includes a SpeakVisual.com site for consumer-generated media uploads, contests, and display advertising. Offline components include TV, movie, print and outdoor advertising.
