Steve Schepke was named general manager of Tsavo Agency. Schepke is the former co-CEO of Chicago-based search and interactive agency Proceed Interactive. He joins the search marketing and optimization agency based in Santa Monica, CA.
Virilion opened a New York office. Lynn Thomlison, creative director, will lead the office, which will house members of Virilion’s design team and account managers. The agency is based in Washington, DC.
InterClick added to its sales team. Chris Yorro and Troy Nelson were hired as sales directors in the San Francisco office. Before joining interClick, Yorro and Nelson were both strategic account managers at IAC Advertising, and also served as account executives at Yahoo. Laura Driscoll will serve as director of advertising sales in Chicago. Driscoll was previously Midwest sales manager at Monster Worldwide. In New York City, the ad network moved to a larger office.
Constant Contact hired John Walsh as SVP, engineering and operations. Walsh previously served as senior vice president of engineering and operations at Ecora Software, and held executive positions at Saba Software, Centra Software, InformTV, and Avid Technology. At this time, Daniel Richards assumed the newly-created role of vice president of Constant Contact Labs. His role is to identify and prototype new technologies for use in future products.
Three executives joined Travel Ad Network. Andrew Podella, business development manager, joined from Tacoda, where he was a channel manager. Sara Eader, publisher account manager, was previously at Google’s Chicago office as an affiliate network account coordinator. Abigail Lane Whitmer, account manager, also worked in Google’s Chicago office as an affiliate network account coordinator for the past year. Whitmer worked previously with Clear Channel as an executive coordinator to the VP, director of sales.
Reprise Media promoted two executives. Josh Dwiggins in New York and Chase Wells in San Francisco were named senior account directors. Dwiggins joined Reprise in 2005, and has been in digital marketing since 1999 in creative, client-facing, and strategic roles at companies including Financial Visions and Job Science. Wells joined Reprise in 2006 and has been involved in search marketing for the past five years. Wells gained his initial experience in media and technical background at companies including iCrossing.
AdYatra named Rick Kestenbaum director of sales. Kestenbaum was given a newly-created position, director, sales, at adYatra, where he will work on developing new projects and growing the company’s OogleAds service. Kestenbaum was at Advance.net for over eight years, where he most recently held the title sales director.
