YouTube has appointed Anna Bateson, former director of viewer marketing for ITV, as European marketing director. Bateson will continue to build the Google-owned company’s brand across the continent.

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has appointed Maani Safa as its new head of mobile. Safa was involved in the launch of the Telegraph’s existing mobile applications, and will be joined by Mike Jennings, a former senior software engineer for Google, who will take responsibility for mobile engineering at TMG.
