Wal-Mart has puts its digital creative account into review, according to Ad Age. The business is worth in excess of $40 million, and the short list of contenders includes Resource, Digitas, MRM, R/GA, and Razorfish, the story said.
Hallmark Channel and Google formed an advertising partnership under which Google will sell ads on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. The expansion of Google’s available-to-sell TV ad inventory follows other recent deals with NBC Universal and Bloomberg.
Revenue Science hired Linnette Jones as senior account executive/ She was most recently a senior sales executive at AdDynamix, where she worked for two years. Jones worked six years as a senior sales executive at ValueClick.
Scripps Networks hired a MarthaStewart.com executive. Alexis Mersel joined Scripps as VP and site director for FineLiving.com. She was most recently VP and product director at MarthaStewart.com. She has held positions at TheNest.com, Saks.com, SHOP Etc., ELLEgirl, and Mirabella magazines.
Ripe Digital hired an exec to lead ad sales in its NY office. Joey Jodar was appointed SVP and managing director of the New York office. The company also hired Steve Reed as executive director of advertising sales. Jodar and Reed both join Ripe from competitor Heavy.com.
Travel Ad Network hired Ron Bernstein as SVP of sales, a newly created position. Bernstein was SVP and general manager of online sales and marketing at USNews.com, a position he held since January. From 2005 to 2007 he headed up to sales divisions at Rodale: Interactive sales and integrated marketing solutions.
Woman’s Day magazine now has a presence on BlogTalkRadio. Hachette Filipacchi Media and BlogtalkRadio partnered to create an online talk radio station, called RadioWD, with magazine Editor-in-Chief Jane Chesnutt and other senior editors as hosts of the live radio shows. Listeners will connect directly to hear conversations on health, food, finance, and lifestyle in 30-minute daily segments.
InnoCentive named Bonnie Becker VP of Marketing. She most recently worked as senior category director of health at Yahoo, prior to which she held roles at Pfizer, M&M/Mars, Enamelon, and Polaroid.
