Yahoo names global head of its mobile division; Ketchum Digital recruits a director from rival agency.
Yahoo elevates David Ko. David Ko was named global head of Yahoo Mobile; he will be responsible for the mobile business, strategy, and monetization teams for Yahoo. This follows the exit of Michael Boerries, Yahoo’s VP of the Connected Life division. Ko was previously SVP of Yahoo Mobile and has been at Yahoo for nine years.
Ketchum Digital gains a new global director. Jonathan Kopp joined Ketchum Digital as global director. He was previously a partner at SS+K, an integrated communications company where he provided strategic counsel and developed campaigns involving public relations, public affairs, issue advocacy, crisis management, marketing, and advertising across traditional and digital marketing. At Ketchum Digital Kopp will oversee Ketchum Digital Content Shop, the Web design and development, audio and video production, and graphic design and print media unit of the agency along with client service and strategy for the global Ketchum Digital division.
Havas Digital partnered with Media6Degrees. Havas Digital agencies will become early adopters of the Media6Degrees’ social graph targeting capabilities in order to integrate consumer insights with hyper-targeting.
