Poindexter Systems hires Rich Person as chief executive officer; Silverpop Systems adds agencies and consultancies to its dynamic marketers program; CyberAds makes Saul Rubin VP of finance.

Online advertising optimization company Poindexter Systems has hired on Rich Person as chief executive officer. Prior to accepting the position, Person was managing partner for direct and interactive marketing at Mullen, where he built up the the cross-channel agency’s direct marketing and new media services. Before joining Mullen, he was senior vice president and director of interactive at Hill, Holliday.

Person’s appointment comes on the tail of several major account wins for Poindexter Systems. The company’s client list includes AOL , Mercedes Benz and American Express .

Silverpop Systems, a provider of email marketing tools, has added several agencies and consultancies to its dynamic marketers program (DMP). Recent additions include Publicis , Point to Point Communications, Creative Alliances, Relationship Marketing, eMediaWorks, Definition 6 and HQ CyberServices.

“Silverpop’s software gives us the ability to bring a valuable service to market quickly without having to commit substantial resources or development time to it,” says Keith Keeney, vice president of HQ CyberServices. “[The software] let us offer a solution that enhances the relationship we have with our existing customers and gives us a more valuable message for prospects.”

Online marketer CyberAds has appointed Saul Rubin as vice president of finance. Rubin most recently served as vice president of finance and accounting at Kellstrom Industries, an aviation inventory management company. Before that he served in corporate controllership roles at companies in the cruise, distribution and generic pharmaceutical industries.

Larry Levinson, founder, chairman and chief executive officer at CyberAds, said, “Based on his proven track record for streamlining budgets, improving cost controls and maximizing systems utilization, we are confident that Saul will play a vital role in the ongoing success of the company.”

Digital marketing and rich media tech provider CheckM8 has hired Tom Curran as vice president of business development. Prior to joining the firm, he was VP of marketing and sales for Way2call Communications, a computer telephony firm. He also served as vice president of marketing and sales for Compwise.
