Integrated marketer EarthQuake Media has recruited Andrew Ettinger as senior media analyst. Ettinger most recently was a freelance media buyer, prior to which he was assistant media director, national broadcast at MediaVest in New York. He was also a senior media buyer at Universal McCann, supervising the Reckitt & Coleman account, among others.

DoubleClick and Tacoda Systems, a provider of tools that help online publishers segment their audiences, have formed an alliance in which DoubleClick will offer Tacoda’s Audience Management System alongside its DART for Publishers product. The result, the companies say, will create a data management platform that can fully identify and target a site’s most valuable users.

WebAdvantage.net, an interactive agency specializing in direct response strategies, has picked up three new clients: Johns Hopkins University, CatholicSingles.com, and DataMate Global Communications.
Johns Hopkins’ School of Arts and Sciences has contracted WebAdvantage.net for search engine optimization services for three of its sites, as well as to provide email marketing consulting services to the university’s part-time engineering program. CatholicSingles.com, an online Catholic dating community, has retained WebAdvantage.net to create and implement a Web marketing strategy and online ad campaign. California-based DataMate Global Communications, developer of a b-to-b instant messaging tool, has engaged WebAdvantage.net on a consulting basis.
PSSC Labs has retained Windsor McLaren to be its public relations agency of record. The company, which builds supercomputers for several government agencies and big universities, said it tapped Windsor McLaren’s technology group for its expertise in the space and extensive contacts within business and technology publications.
