Execs and Accounts for May 28, 2004

Commission Junction staffs up newly-announced network with new senior employees; TeRespondo snags new advisory board members; and NYTimes.com hires new product management chief.

ValueClick’s Commission Junction has staffed up its new online advertising network, CJ Evolution, with new senior leadership.

Heading up the Manhattan-based operations as vice president of media operations will be Jocelyn Griffing, who joined Commission Junction from Beyond Interactive. Griffing was senior vice president of integrated media at Beyond.

Robert Kadar also joins as director of national sales, having most recently served as executive director of sales at WhenU. Regina Sebring will be senior account manager of publisher relations at the new network. She previously worked at Advertising.com in a similar capacity.

Latin American search marketing firm TeRespondo.com named two former Overture execs to its board of advisors. Paul Ryan was Overture’s chief technology officer, and Tom Lamb was VP of corporate development.

“Having these two outstanding corporate leaders join our advisory board is a great boost for the progress of TeRespondo and their insight will be invaluable in ensuring our continued success in building our business,” said Juan Diego Calle, founder and CEO of TeRespondo.com.

Rob Larson was promoted to director of product management and development for NYTimes.com. Larson joined NYTimes.com in 1996, and most recently served as director of information architecture. He has been instrumental in launching and enhancing many verticals, most recently the Movies, Travel and Theater sections, the company said.

Performics named affiliate marketing veteran Jonty Kelt to head its business expansion to Europe and the U.K. Kelt founded an early affiliate marketing network in the U.K. Several European partners, including Betfair and Spannerworks, have already begun using Performics’ ConnectCommerce platform.

Digital marketing firm Transcendigital hired Brad Sulewski as Internet developer and project manager. Sulewski most recently worked for Bergeron Creative Group in Westborough, Mass.
