Agency.com has promoted Don Scales to executive vice president and chief operating officer, a role in which he’ll manage the delivery of work for all the company’s North American and European offices, including its itraffic subsidiary.
Scales has been with the marketing firm since February 2001, most recently as CEO of the company’s North American operations, which includes offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco. He was responsible for managing sales and delivery for Agency.com and its subsidiaries, itraffic and Red Sky.
Scales first joined Agency.com as Southwest regional president, managing the Dallas office. Prior to that, he was chief executive officer at eJiva, a division of Igate Capital.
“Don has been an instrumental part of our success and we will benefit from extending his management across all our offices,” said Agency.com Chairman and CEO Chan Suh.
Range Online Media has hired Eric Clark as vice president of media, a role in which he’ll oversee online media client relationships and business development while advising the company on research and changes in the online marketing space.
Prior to joining the Fort Worth-based interactive marketer, Clark was marcom manager of Internet media for Radioshack. There, he managed the company’s strategic partnership with Microsoft/MSN and directed interactive B2C and B2B strategies.
“Eric brings a wide range of skill sets to Range,” said Cheryle Pingel, president of Range. “We will particularly rely on his knowledge and expertise in integrated advertising and marketing strategies as we continue to broaden our client base inside and outside of the D/FW Metroplex.”

The tree tiers are “Everyday Free Shipping,” featuring free shipping on non-prescription orders of $49 or more; “drugstore.com dollars,” a five percent credit towards future purchases; and “Your diamond deal,” which gives registered customers four personalized product offers on a weekly basis. The program is a long-term test the company said it will evaluate throughout the coming quarters.
“Drugstore.com is committed to providing competitive prices, the widest selection, and the best shopping experience for our customers,” said Kal Raman President and CEO of drugstore.com. “We believe our new loyalty program will increase customer retention by providing real incentives for customers to come back and shop with us more frequently.”

While there, he also engineered an agency-wide client collaboration tool. “Coupling Chris’ knowledge and experience with the agency’s award-winning creative product further strengthens boede&partners’ highly talented interactive team,” said David Boede, president of boede&partners. “Chris Omer is the total package — a technologist and a marketing strategist.”
