Social media giant Facebook is to join forces with stock photography agency and global image marketplace Shutterstock to help improve its Ad Create Tool, which will allow advertisers who develop ads through the app to gain access to high-quality photographs and illustrations.
Businesses that choose to advertise with Facebook’s ad creation tool will be able to select six images out of the millions available in the Shutterstock library, helping ensure their ads are attractive and compelling to Facebook audiences.
The service will be free to advertisers.
“Shutterstock has a massive image library, and accessing their API allows Facebook to provide this library to our advertisers,” said Blake Williams, product manager for Facebook Ad Creation. “This integration is especially important for small and medium-sized businesses who may not have the time or resources to acquire creative images for their marketing initiatives.”
