Santa Ana, CA-based business-to-business retailer Firstsource.com selected D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles Los Angeles, Blue Marble ACG and Ruder Finn as its new brand communications partners for advertising and public relations.
Firstsource.com, a subsidiary of En Pointe Technologies Inc. says it uses “a new proprietary technology enabling it to offer the largest virtual inventory of computer products on the Web.”
DMB&B will handle creative development, media planning and buying, new media (through DMB&B sister agency Blue Marble), integrated communications and brand strategy. Ruder Finn will develop communications strategy, corporate positioning and public relations programs. Billings were not disclosed.
“We’ve experienced tremendous growth and success over the last year and are now ready to focus on the next very important component of our growth — a strategic and integrated marketing program,” said John Walsh, vice president of marketing for Firstsource.com.
This marks the third new business win in the technology arena in the past year for DMB&B/Los Angeles. Others were GMBuyPower.com and Mitsubishi Electric.
DMB&B, part of the MacManus Group, has more than 6,000 employees in 75 countries. The agency’s major worldwide clients include: Procter & Gamble, General Motors, M&M Mars, The Coca-Cola Company, Burger King, Pillsbury, TWA, Ernst & Young, Australian Tourist Commission and Mitsubishi Electric.
