In an aim to keep a tight rein on its brand image in an age of easy digital duplication, Ford Motor Co. this week licensed Iterated Systems‘ MediaBin to handle its prodigious arsenal of Internet and print branding elements.
“MediaBin enables Ford (F) to automate the production of brand images for much faster Web and brochure updates, making them immediately available to support faster time-to-market for our Ford Division campaigns,” said Jan Klug, marketing communications manager for the Ford Division of Ford Motor Company.
Iterated Systems, with MediaBin, aims to solve the problems of large corporations, which have hundreds, or possibly even thousands, of brand images for various media. The application is a central digital repository, which marketing staff can quickly tap to provide the correct image for Web sites or print ad executions.
The licensing of the technology to Ford is a big coup for Iterated Systems, as it gives the company instant credibility with major players.
“Corporations are being crushed by the high volumes of images needed to support e-commerce,” said John Bacon, Iterated Systems chief executive officer.
