The campaign is designed to promote Glaxo Wellcome’s leadership position in the health market and increase consumer awareness of various disease categories. Glaxo Wellcome will build interactive resources that allow iVillage health network members to develop their own personalized health-awareness programs.
Under the terms of the agreement, several of Glaxo Wellcome’s pharmaceutical products will be advertised in areas of iVillage.com’s health channel. Glaxo Wellcome also plans to sponsor resource centers for smoking cessation, migraine, and asthma that may include interactive assessment tools, disease-specific newsletters and enhanced community support.
As another component of the alliance, Glaxo Wellcome will be the exclusive sponsor for three “Kick Butt” Community Challenges, a six-week smoking-cessation curriculum.
