Google is looking to spice up its local business ad listings with a new user interface design called AdWords Local PlusBox. The updated design will give ads that are located above organic search results the ability to expand and display maps, addresses, phone numbers and driving directions to the business. Google doesn’t plan on charging extra for the display features, but will continue to charge customers when a user clicks on a link to their landing page.
