Search giant rolling out daily deals to 32 more markets soon.
If Facebook has lost interest in taking down Groupon, Google is clearly now taking aim at the daily deals leader. The search giant is advertising its Offers initiative on its home page.
Here’s the copy New Yorkers are seeing under the search box at Google.com: “$25 American Museum of Natural History tickets for $5. See today’s Google Offer“.
Whether or not the geo-targeted ad is being seen in other markets where Google Offers is live, San Francisco/Oakland and Portland, remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the Mountain View, CA-based company’s Google Offers page is now also revealing that it plans to go into 32 new markets.
