Harte-Hanks Buys Postfuture

Harte-Hanks will continue to support its acquisition's various e-mail products.

Direct marketer Harte-Hanks has scooped up email firm Postfuture.

Harte-Hanks will merge Postfuture’s enterprise platform and professional services into its own offerings. The company will also continue to develop and support the new acquisition’s various email products.

“We felt the timing was right to deepen our core competencies in the email space,” said Richard Hochhauser, president and CEO of Harte-Hanks. “The acquisition of Postfuture offers many new opportunities to integrate email more fully into true, multi-channel programs throughout our entire organization.”

Financial terms of the acquisition, effective immediately, were not disclosed. No layoffs or office closings are planned. Postfuture President and CEO Richard Merrick will serve as Harte Hanks’ managing director of direct marketing.

Postfuture clients include Microsoft, Sam Goody and Pizza Hut.
