The head of IAC Advertising Solutions has resigned. Richard Stalzer, president of InterActiveCorp’s media sales unit, will leave the firm.
In the interim, the ad solutions leadership team will report directly to IAC EVP and CFO Thomas McInerney, according to a company spokesperson, who noted that Stalzer is leaving “on good terms.” Stalzer will be involved through the transition to his eventual replacement, yet to be determined.
Stalzer, who has been based in New York, said he is leaving to explore new opportunities, according to the spokesperson.
IAC’s Ad Solutions division handles sales for the company’s several Web properties, including Citysearch, Match.com, and Evite. The firm offers display and rich media advertising, sponsorships, custom solutions, and behavioral and demographic targeting. The advertising unit began selling on an audience-basis about a year ago. Taking a cue from behavioral ad networks, the company can sell audience groups, such as active travelers or homeowners, across its Web sites.
The Ad Solutions unit encompasses around 80 employees.
