Imagine Media Signs With Accipiter for Game Sites

Accipiter Inc. said that Imagine Media Inc. signed along-term agreement to use its AdManager-driven network solution to manageonline advertising on its game networks.

Accipiter Inc. said that Imagine Media Inc. signed a long-term agreement to use its AdManager-driven network solution to manage online advertising on its game networks.

Sites include Imagine Games, MacAddict, ShoppingLab, and upcoming networks.

Raleigh, NC-based Accipiter said its products are currently deployed on 20 sites across the Imagine networks and will be rolled out to the other 40-plus sites over the next several months. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.

Brisbane, CA-based Imagine cited software stability, engine performance, rich media support, and technical support as key factors in signing with Accipiter.

The company publishes six monthly consumer technology magazines and operates 60 Web sites. Imagine said it turned to Accipiter after doubling in size as it needed a solution to keep up with its growth.

In addition to scalability issues, Imagine was looking to improve on the overall reliability of the system, as downtime is unacceptable.
