INEX Corp. in Toronto, a provider of e-commerce applications, and marketing firm WebPromote in Libertyville, IL, formed a strategic partnership to provide customers with both commerce and marketing solutions.

INEX customers are now able to access WebPromote’s Internet marketing services from within the INEX Commerce Court software applications or on the Web at webpromote.com/partners/inex. INEX customers will be able to access a number of free Web site marketing tools available from WebPromote that help to optimize, measure and improve Internet marketing strategies, the firms said.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

The WebPromote tools include:

  • META Tag Builder, a program to help achieve prominent listings within search engines.
  • RankThis!, a software program that shows how well a site ranks in 10 of the major search engines and then shows how to improve those listings.
  • WebPromote Weekly, a newsletter to keep readers up to date on the latest online promotion developments, opportunities, and tips.

The links from INEX to WebPromote also afford INEX customers the ability to quickly and easily learn about and leverage a number of Internet marketing services available from WebPromote, it stated.

“INEX’s commitment to its customers includes putting absolutely everything they need to run a successful online business at their fingertips,” said Alex Barrotti, founder and CEO of INEX. “INEX recognizes that online marketing is key to our customers’ success and WebPromote is able to provide them with a much needed and valuable service.”

“One size does not fit all when it comes to effectively promoting Internet commerce sites and we recognize the need for scalable, online marketing solutions resulting in targeted traffic,” said Ken Wruk, founder and president of WebPromote. “This mutually beneficial partnership with INEX will open up a much broader channel for WebPromote, allowing us to offer our services to a wider range of customers.”

WebPromote said it will seek to educate its clients about the value of INEX Commerce Court software applications, designed for small and medium businesses. Marketing activities will include online promotions, opt-in email announcements and co-marketing at industry trade shows. The partnership will also introduce INEX solutions to WebPromote’s reseller network.
