Content aggregator InfoSpace.com Inc. and QuikPage Inc., a Web site development and hosting company, formed a strategic alliance to provide local ad sales companies an integrated solution for their advertisers.
Together InfoSpace.com and QuikPage will create one-stop Web site development with distribution throughout key Internet locations. Local businesses can work with their local advertising sales companies such as yellow page publishers and newspapers to create an Internet presence, the companies said. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
The bundled program includes a QuikPage custom Web site along with InfoSpace.com’s distribution network of sites. The alliance also allows local advertisers to offer Web sites and distribution to their customers without additional staffing or resources, and sites can be created directly from existing print ads.
“The partnership between InfoSpace and QuikPage will now offer a valuable service to small businesses that don’t have the resources to create and manage their own Web site,” said Naveen Jain, president and CEO of InfoSpace.com. “We intend to deliver increased reach to their customers’ Web sites through our extensive yellow pages distribution system.”
“The resources that the two companies offer are unique,” said John Dennis, CEO of QuikPage. “Small companies desiring to open their business on the Internet with their own Web site will be served well by QuikPage’s expertise in Web design and hosting, and InfoSpace.com’s sophisticated distribution network.”
Founded in 1996 with headquarters in Minneapolis, QuikPage specializes in providing affordable Internet solutions for the small business market. The 120-person organization has the capacity to output 1,000 Web sites daily, and also hosts The QuikPages National Business Web Site Directory.
