Oftel’s latest review of the U.K. Internet market discovered that 11 million U.K. homes are connected to the Internet.
The 11 million homes represent 45 percent of U.K. households, compared to 30 percent last year, and includes 4 million homes with unmetered Internet access.
Jupiter MMXI, meanwhile, has begun to track at-work Internet users in Britain. Once at-work numbers are added to Jupiter MMXI’s at-home data, portal and ISP sites see an increase of more than 20 minutes per month in average usage minutes.
British at-work Internet users prefer the Google search engine to at-home favorite Ask Jeeves. In the news and information category, bbc.co.uk extends its lead to from 17.8 percent reach among at-home users to 24 percent reach among home and work users.
