iTunes Dabbles in Ads

AdAge has it that Apple may soon begin putting ads on iTunes. The planned offering, undertaken in partnership with ESPN, is reportedly limited to a small placement in the lower corner of the music library while users listen to podcasts on their computers (not their iPods). Yet the article somehow deduces that it could auger “ads in other content areas or on iPods.” Sounds like a stretch to me, especially that last bit.
