KOZ.com in Research Triangle Park, N.C. , which helps local media affiliates extend their real-world communities onto the Internet, named David Rhoades as director of marketing programs.
Rhoades will be responsible for creating marketing and advertising programs for KOZ.com.
Rhoades brings to KOZ.com more than 13 years of marketing, promotions and creative expertise, including 23 years of television and radio experience. His primary focus has been creative services for local television in North Carolina and Arizona.
“As the Internet continues to go local, David’s extensive broadcast and marketing experience will help KOZ.com maintain its leadership position in reinventing communities online and expand into new markets,” said Mike Moran, chief executive officer of KOZ.com.
KOZ.com sells the Community Publishing System (CPS), its flagship product, to publishers and membership organizations that want to set up Web communities based on real communities, under the brand name OrgWare. KOZ.com also builds and syndicates a series of affinity community channels such as the Family Shoebox , SoccerOnline and SchoolLife.
