Internet users in the U.S. spent less time on Facebook in the past two months, according to data from comScore. In June, users spent an average of just over six hours with the site over the course of the month, down from around six hours and 45 minutes in April, and almost seven hours in March.
Despite the drop in time spent on the social network – which can likely be attributed to the summer season – the number of unique users it is attracting continues to grow. In June it attracted 127 million unique users, up from 122.3 million users in April.
Earlier this month, Facebook announced a total of 500 million users have signed up to the service to date, accounting for over 7 percent of the world’s population.
