Los Angeles-based Modacad Inc., a provider of 3-D technology for online commerce, named eyescream interactive as its online advertising agency of record.

The companies will work closely on the launch of Modacad’s newest Web venture, styleclick.com, an e-commerce site designed specifically for women brings more than 100 fashion vendors together under one roof, allowing visitors to make side-by-side comparisons. Billings were not disclosed.

eyescream interactive, founded by President Mark Grimes, became an online agency in 1995 after eight years as a traditional marketing company. Clients include Consumer Reports, SimpleNet, Intuit and GoTo.com. We’ve always liked one of eyescream’s in-your-face descriptions of itself: “Hunter S. Thompson meets J. Walter Thompson.”
