Ad management solutions company NetGravity in San Mateo, CA, said it secured 27 blue chip customers across Europe since opening its UK office. Clients include British Telecom, Reuters, Express Newspapers, Associated Electronic Publishing and Hachette/ELLE.
British Telecom recently deployed NetGravity AdServer to operate across British Telecom Internet, which is an ISP that provides a range of Internet and Intranet-based subscription services and interactive touch-screen kiosks.
According to Jupiter’s Interactive Content Report, the European Internet market presents an opportunity for U.S. content developers and advertisers because the market is immature in comparison to that of the U.S. and other countries. Jupiter projects that by 2002, European ad revenues will soar to $1.2 billion as European Web use goes mainstream and the Internet market comes of age.
“Over the last 10 months, NetGravity has secured a strong customer base in Europe and is now well-established as the European standard for online ad management solutions,” said John Danner, president and CEO of NetGravity.
Reuters has also purchased NetGravity’s AdServer software to dynamically target and manage ads on its new sporting news site www.sportsweb.com.
