The New York New Media Association will present a program entitled “Beyond the Buzzwords: Real Talk about the State of Agencies, Advertising and the Web” on Monday, July 20.

Panelists include David Centner, CEO of K2 Design; Kevin O’Connor, CEO of DoubleClick; Scott Schiller, vice president, advertising and sponsorship sales at Disney Online; and Chan Suh, president of Agency.com

Moderator will be Bernhard Warner, senior reporter at AdWeek’s IQ News.

“Enough of the hyperbole, it’s time for some honest insight and hindsight on why Web advertising hasn’t become the billion-dollar solution,” the release stated. “What has that meant for interactive agencies and Web publishers? What will it take to get there? Come hear how the new 4P’s (profits, partnerships, portals and publishers) will shape the online advertising landscape in the next year.”

Registration is at 6 p.m.; the program begins at 6:30, followed by a reception sponsored by StarMedia. Location is the McGraw-Hill Auditorium, 1221 Ave. of the Americas (48th & 49th Sts.), 2nd floor.

Tickets are $15 for members, $30 for non-members in advance, $20 and $40 at the door, respectively.
