There are 3.5 million monthly Internet users in Sweden, according to SIFO Interactive. That represents approximately 47 percent of the Swedes age 12-79. Men accounted for half of the users in this age group. Women in the 35-49 and 50-79 age groups showed the biggest increases in Internet usage.
IDC estimates that 25 percent of the Swedish online population will shop online by 2002.
