The exclusive, two-year agreement begins immediately. Bloomberg already uses Real Media’s Open AdStream ad serving technology across all its sites worldwide.
“This is a significant deal for Real Media, confirming our authority in the pan-European marketplace,” said Joshua Rosen, Real Media’s vice president of market development. “Real Media will not only handle sales for the local language sites but traffic from those countries into Bloomberg.com.”
“Real Media demonstrated a first class knowledge and reputation in what is an important commercial arena for Bloomberg,” said Ann O’Neill, European advertising director for Bloomberg.
Real Media operates a network of more than 570 locally branded Web sites, mostly newspaper sites. In addition, Real Media markets its Open Ad Stream (OAS) ad server product.
The company says OAS is used on more than 5,000 Web sites to serve more than four billion online ads each month.
