Real Media to Resell Solbright Services

The partnership will see the ad server promoting a combined, end-to-end sales and delivery system.

Ad network and technology player Real Media is teaming up with fellow Alley marketing player Solbright to boost its offerings to publishers.

Through the partnership, the terms of which were not disclosed, Real Media will resell Solbright’s AdSuite ASP services to customers of its Open AdStream Web ad server.

The service — which includes the firm’s AdSales, AdTraffic and AdBilling products — is marketed as a way for inside sales teams to boost productivity by centralizing client contact information, automatically tracking approvals, creative assets and billing, and reconciling contracts with ad server performance data.

The agreement is a win for Real Media, which now can offer a complete ad sales, trafficking and delivery service to its publishers, which include Weather.com, New York Times Digital, USAToday.com and internet.com. (internet.com, a unit of INT Media, is the parent of internetnews.com).

“Combined with Open AdStream’s leading ad serving and management platform, Solbright’s AdSuite offers customers a powerful workflow solution,” said Scott Gamble, vice president of product management at Real Media. “The integration of our two leading systems will provide users with a more comprehensive solution for managing their business from start to finish, yielding greater staff efficiencies, streamlined communications, better management reporting, and more reliable customer service.”

While Real Media benefits from an additional offering, and Solbright gains through signing a new distribution channel, the companies describe the deal as win a for Real Media’s publishers, who will be able to use AdSuite to manage contacts, advertising creative, reporting and billing in conjunction with their ad server.

“Solbright’s strategic relationship with Real Media provides their stable of premium Web publishers with an integrated platform to more profitably manage their advertising operations,” said Solbright chairman Key Compton. “We are excited about working closely with Real Media to provide all its customers with fully integrated, end-to-end solutions.”
