Yahoo! is running a 1998 Holiday Instant Winshopping promotion using technology from RealTIME Media.

Yahoo is running a 1998 Holiday Instant Win shopping promotion using technology from RealTIME Media.

The promotion, which runs through Dec. 22, makes available instant prizes of cash and merchandise totaling more than $1 million. Participating merchants include Shabang, Great Food Online, Sierra Online, Digital Chef, Shop4.com, Multiple Zones, 800.com, Holt Outlet and Toys R Us. Those make an online purchase receive virtual instant win scratch off game card. Prizes include stereo equipment, fashion wear, holiday foods and desserts, toys, CDs and gift certificates.

The online scratch and win card uses RealTIME Media’s patent-pending technology to create a fun online experience while generating instant notification of prize winnings. Each instant win prize winner advances to a bonus round where they can be eligible to win $50,000, $100,000 or $1 million in cash.

RealTIME Media clients include Microsoft, Ford Motor Credit, Rolling Stone, Delta Air Lines, Norwegian Cruise Lines, CBS Marketwatch.com, The Weather Channel, CDnow, Cybercash and Yahoo.
