SBC Interactive to sell DoubleClick Local Ads

SBC Interactive, the online publishing company of SBC Communications Inc.,signed a partner deal in which it will sell ads on behalf of DoubleClick Local.

SBC Interactive, the online publishing company of SBC Communications Inc., signed a partner deal in which it will sell ads on behalf of DoubleClick Local.

SBC Interactive operates yellow pages and directory site SMARTpages.com, serving California, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas and Connecticut. DoubleClick Local helps Internet advertisers target prospects both geographically and by category. Financial aspects were not disclosed.

More than 1,100 sales agents represent SBC Interactive’s Internet advertising products.

“Adding DoubleClick Local to our product mix lets us combine top brand sites with terrific local reach, bringing added value to our advertisers,” said Tim Lambert, vice president of sales for SBC Interactive.

SBC Interactive joins USWest, Ameritech, R.H. Donnelley and TMP Worldwide, which have all entered into partnerships with DoubleClick Local.
