SF Interactive named Rob Middleton to principal, director of media services. Middleton will be responsible for strategic media planning, buying, tracking and evaluating online advertising for the agency’s clients.
He joins SF Interactive from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, the San Francisco advertising agency where he served as Internet manager, senior media manager and media research director.
Paul D. Rothkopf has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president, sales for Times Mirror Interzines (TMI), the new media unit of Times Mirror Magazines. For the past two years, Rothkopf has been director, sales and marketing, for The Sporting News Online.
Former Coca-Cola Chief Marketing Officer Joins Netcentives Board Netcentives in San Francisco, a provider of marketing solutions for electronic commerce efforts, said that Coca-Cola’s former chief marketing officer, Sergio Zyman, has joined its board of directors.
“E-commerce companies must constantly reinvent themselves, not unlike all of the industries I’ve worked in,” Zyman said. “Netcentives develops the powerful, flexible marketing programs used by both new and established brands to gain and retain market share.” Netcentive’s flagship program is the incentive marketing operation ClickRewards.
As Coca-Cola’s first chief marketing officer, Zyman altered every part of Coca-Cola’s marketing program. In 1994, Zyman’s first full year as marketing chief, Coke Classic’s volume grew 8 percent worldwide. Having stepped down from the CMO role at Coca-Cola in March of this year, Zyman sits on the boards of The Gap, The Honey Baked Ham Company, Launch.com and CyberMeals. A native of Mexico City, Zyman is a graduate of Harvard University’s graduate program.
