SmartServ Online Inc., a provider of customized online information services via multiple electronic devices, announced the formal start of its marketing alliance with Data Transmission Network Corp. of Omaha, NB.
DTN licensed SmartServ’s Internet-based products and will begin an advertising campaign to promote SmartServ’s financial services information products to its finance and investor customers, including DTN’s 160,000-member subscriber base as well as retail and institutional clients.
Those products include: SmartServ Pro, a real-time stock quote, news, and charting service; and TradeNet and BrokerNet, real-time trading and account information packages for the brokerage industry.
DTN will market the three products as DTN.IQ, DTN TradeNet, and DTN BrokerNet, respectively. SmartServ said it expects additional new revenue of between $2.5 and $5 million over the next 12 months as a result of the alliance. Details of the ad campaign were not disclosed.
DTN is an information and communications provider for the agricultural, automotive, energy, farm implement, financial, mortgage, golf, turf management, construction, aviation, emergency management, and other weather- related industries.
SmartServ Online provides online information for PCs, screenphones, pagers, PCS and PDA devices, as well as for wireless information devices and the Internet.
