The power of social media and mobile marketing in enhancing a brand and saving it from drowning among competition is perfectly exemplified in the story of Ticketscript, a company whose digital strategy has helped it drive millions of sales.
Launched in 2006, the site sells self-ticketing software to help boost ticket sales for companies, festivals and events taking place across Europe. A recent rebrand saw the company champion a new strategy that focused on social media and mobile sales, and the move appears to have paid dividends, selling them 3.3 million ticket sales in 2012.
According to The Drum, traffic to the site from mobile devices leaped by 248 per cent due to an increased push in mobile ticketing, which drove mobile sales up by 121%, and an improved integrated social media strategy, which saw Facebook traffic to the ticketshop up by 103% .
Frans Jonker, Chief Executive Officer, commented: “We know our customers are serious about their business and we are extremely proud to provide them with a solution that has allowed them to sell over 10 million tickets – a great achievement.
“We fundamentally believe that if organisers have full control over their data, their events will see an increase in ticket sales, community and revenue. This has been proven as we celebrate this milestone – an incredible achievement over such a short time.”
