Has advertising’s favored bogeyman of the past three years left the building?
The Times’ write-up of the Four A’s conference in Orlando has this tidbit:
One conspicuous no-show at the conference was the digital video recorder. There was surprisingly little mention of TiVo or other DVR’s, a shift from conferences past.
It’s true, the TiVo doesn’t get much love/hate these days. Maybe it’s served its purpose now that global agencies are all burning incense at the altar of user control and “digital touchpoints.”
