Top News Sites of June

MSNBC.com retained its title as the Web’s most popular news destination, according to Web measurement results from PC Data Online.

Todayssports.com, Wired.com, and APBonline.com all moved into the Top 20 in June. APBonline, a crime news site, moved up from a ranking of 41 in May to enter the Top 20 at No. 15.

PC Data Online’s rankings are compiled using a proprietary software tool that tracks “unique visitors” who go to a Web site. Every visitor is counted only once, regardless of how many times the individual visits a site. The sample includes 55,000 home users who are not using the proprietary AOL browser.
