The worldwide Internet population held stable at 308.7 million users in February 2002, according to comScore, with virtually no significant shifts in size of specific audience segments such as the United States versus non-U.S.

ComScore’s netScore data did fiond increases from January 2002 in the average number of page consumed at non-U.S. PCs and U.S. university PCs of 4 percent and 11 percent. The increase at U.S. universities is likely a sign of students returning from semester break.
