Worldlyinvestor.com Inks Content Deal with AltaVista

Financial information site Worldlyinvestor.com on Friday inked a deal with AltaVista Co. that puts its internationalfinancial content on the AltaVistaLive! World Channel.

Financial information site Worldlyinvestor.com on Friday inked a deal with AltaVista Co. that puts its international financial content on the AltaVista Live! World Channel.

Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.

Worldlyinvestor.com has, in the past couple of months, stepped up marketing efforts, focusing especially on its international content. Most recently, it signed a distribution deal with ElClick.com, an online community for US Hispanics. Earlier, it signed a content agreement with Yahoo.

The deal with AltaVista calls for Worldlyinvestor.com to provide daily and weekly stories covering individual stocks, mutual funds, regional investment opportunities, as well as financial analysis on specific industry sectors. Users will also get Worldlyinvestor.com headlines when they search for a particular stock or mutual fund quote.

The companies will also build a co-branded site that will provide financial news from around the world. Here, users will have the opportunity to register as members of Worldlyinvestor.com.

The AltaVista Live! World Channel is the company’s effort to capitalize on the popularity of its Babel Fish translation service, by building international content around it.
