San Francisco-based XOOM.com Inc. signed sponsorship and e-commerce agreements with Gateway SpotShop by NECX, a source for computer products on the Internet, and PC Flowers & Gifts.com Inc.
Both deals leverage XOOM.com’s two-revenue stream business, of which approximately 60 percent is e-commerce sales and 40 percent is advertising. Both are one-year agreements and include direct selling opportunities to XOOM.com’s member base as well as premium sponsorship placements throughout XOOM.com. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
“These deals reflect the true power behind XOOM.com’s business and its focus on providing its members with great deals on high-quality products,” said Alicia Molnar, vice president of advertising sales for XOOM.com. “Our agreements with Gateway SpotShop by NECX and PC Flowers & Gifts are perfects examples of what we can do for advertisers who want to effectively target a large audience of consumers on the Internet to sell products.”
Gateway SpotShop by NECX is the exclusive hardware sponsor of XOOM.com’s e-commerce navigation bar. Clicking on the Gateway SpotShop by NECX sponsorship will take users to a co-branded store. PC Flowers & Gifts.com is the exclusive floral sponsor of [email protected] as well as XOOM.com’s Greetings Online, a free greeting card service that caters heavily to women.
