NYC Peep Show Returns?

Imagine walking past a blacked out storefront window

Elle 1.jpgImagine walking past a blacked out storefront window. Then, an image sweeps across the window showing the picture of a nearly naked woman in a black bra.

No, this isn’t part of a New York City peep show, circa 1970.

It’s a 2007 interactive ad for Elle MacPherson Intimates. The display was developed by Inwindow Outdoor, a New York City-based company specializing in storefront advertisements.

This particular advertisement can be viewed at 1035 Sixth Ave. in Manhattan. For those from flyover country, that’s near this week’s Fashion Week activities over at Bryant Park.

Inwindow Outdoor’s video display uses motion detecting technology it calls Human Locator. Sounds like something the Department of Homeland Security would be interested in.
