Facebook promotes Tom Arrix to VP, U.S. sales; Colle+McVoy names Mike Caguin executive creative director.

Facebook promotes Tom Arrix. Arrix was named vice president, U.S. sales. He was previously regional vice president of sales, East, for more than two years, overseeing sales strategy for the East Coast. In his new role he will continue to be based in New York and will lead advertising sales and client service strategy nationally. Arrix joined Facebook in 2006 from Univision Digital, where he was senior vice president of advertising sales and marketing solutions. Prior to Univision he was senior vice president of sales and client services at CBSSportsline.com.

Colle+McVoy promotes one to ECD. Mike Caguin was promoted from creative director to executive creative director. He had been group creative director at the agency for three years and recently worked on the relaunch of TakeMeFishing.org and the development of the Yahoo Messenger Emoticarolers campaign. Caguin was previously an art director at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners and also spent time at TBWA/Chiat/Day and other agencies.

Organic creates, translates a campaign for Intel. Intel selected Organic to support its online global and retail content syndication efforts. Organic created and translated the online content and is syndicating it to 28 countries in 16 languages. Through the partnership, Organic will help Intel’s retailers and OEMs up-sell and target customers at the point of consideration.

1Cast adds publishing partners to its network. The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, Reuters, Bloomberg, Agence France-Presse, and CNET all joined the broadcast platform that pushes video news content to smart phones and PC platforms. An iPhone app was made available in February.

Miva’s CFO/COO departs. Lowell Robinson, chief financial officer and chief operating officer of Miva, exited the company following the sale of Miva Media Business to AdKnowledge. Mike Cutler, will take the title of CFO and assume Robinson’s duties. Cutler was SVP of finance and chief accounting officer. He has been with Miva since December 2006 and previously worked for two years as CFO at WVT Communications.

Zeta Interactive promotes DiGuido. George DiGuido was promoted to vice president of e-mail marketing. He will direct all of the agency’s e-mail marketing interests and serve as product visionary behind the new platform Zeta Mail. George DiGuido joined the company in 2007. He previously worked as director of client services at Epsilon Interactive.

Lou Tosto joins Linkstorm. Tosto was named SVP of sales and operations. He was most recently VP of sales at McGraw-Hill’s BusinessWeek and BusinessWeek.com. Tosto began at McGraw-Hill in 2002. Previously he was general manager of SmartMoney.com, where he worked with Ari Brandt, CEO of Linkstorm.
