Paid Search Prices for Auto Advertisers Up in June

Automotive advertisers increased their spending on paid search ads by 13 percent in May.

Paid search ads cost more for advertisers in the automotive vertical in June. CPC ad prices grew 13 percent versus May, according to data from Efficient Frontier.

That growth represents a substantial increase of 20 percent versus the same period in 2009, suggesting the sector is continuing its return to health. Advertisers spent 10 cents more per click in June 2010 than they did during the same four weeks last year.

Meanwhile, CPCs in the finance and retail categories both increased for the second consecutive month, and were up by 17 and 23 percent, respectively, year-over-year.
