Mochila gets a CMO; Jumpstart hires Murad-Patel for context; Millennial Media gets Root as COO.

Mochila appointed Craig Calder as chief marketing officer. The global online media marketplace for print, audio, video and photo content, hired Calder away from his position as SVP of marketing at TheStreet.com.

BabyCenter hired Judith Meskill as vice president of programming, social media officer. Meskill will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s social media strategy.

V-Enable hired Emerick Woods as chief executive officer. The provider of mobile voice search technology hired Woods from his post as president and chief executive officer of Aligo.

GSD&M hired two execs for its Interactive Department. The marketing and communications company hired Dave Russell as director of digital and interactive media and LJ Kobe as interactive associate media director.

Jumpstart Automotive Media hired Elizabeth Murad-Patel as product manager for contextual marketing. The automotive advertising network created the position for Murad-Patel, who will be based in Detroit.

Turner New Products Group named Guhan Selvaretnam as vice president, new products group lead. Selvaretnam comes to media firm Turner Broadcasting from Reuters Group, where he was most recently vice president of media strategy.

Limelight Networks hired two execs. The content delivery network for digital media appointed David Hatfield as SVP worldwide sales, marketing & services, and Hong Xia as vice president of worldwide technical services.

Millennial Media named Stephen Root as chief operating officer. The cross-platform mobile advertising company hired Root from his post as chief operating officer of Advertising.com and senior vice president of AOL/Time Warner.

Griffin Bodi & Krause has become Griffin York & Krause. The advertising and strategic communications firm promoted Travis York to president and principal partner. The official name change is effective May 7, 2007.

Active Marketing Group promoted two and hired three. The firm, which provides marketing services to reach people with active lifestyles, promoted David Irish to VP of business development and Greg Sonzogni to VP of business development of fitness and recreation. The company also hired Stan Phelps and Stephany Cavatoni as directors of business development, and Jason Johnson as group director of inside sales.
