FIM promotes Trimble; PlanetOut CEO steps down for medical reasons; Google U.K. GM to depart.
Fox Interactive Media promoted SVP of Ad Sales John Trimble to a broader role with oversight of all display ad sales for its Web properties. Trimble’s been with FOX for four years.
PlanetOut CEO Lowell Selvin has stepped down for medical reasons. He’s replaced by Karen Magee, a present board member who previously served as SVP of strategic planning for Time Warner.
Fox Television Stations hired Ronald Stitt as VP of digital media and Internet operations. Stitt was VP of digital media for the ABC Television Stations division for seven years.
Kate Burns, managing director of Google U.K., will soon leave the company to spend more time with her family, according to reports. She was Google’s first hire in that country.
NBC Universal Sports and Olympics hired Perkins Miller as SVP of digital media. He was previously director and general manager for Internet operations for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
vMix, an online media sharing community, tapped Winstar Interactive to represent its video ad inventory. Winstar launched its Interactive Video Network earlier this year.
Rare Method made several promotions. Graham Kahl, an art director for five years, becomes team leader in digital design. Account manager Dawn Bayers moves up to senior account manager. Account coordinator Martina Haines takes over as manager of systems and performance. The agency made five other promotions in marketing, technology and design.
