Agency.com named Kathleen Flynn president of its Chicago office. The interactive agency promoted Flynn from her previous position as vice president, client partner. Flynn replaces Dave Johnson, managing partner of the Chicago office and president of North America.

F+W tapped John Lerner as EVP of its interactive media division. The special interest publisher hired Lerner from his position as vice president of digital strategy for Nielsen Business Media.

Carat Fusion promoted Brian Mathena to media director for its Los Angeles office. Mathena most recently served as associate media director at the digital marketing agency.

Mino Wireless hired Richard Heaps as COO/CFO and general counsel. Heaps comes to the mobile VoIP technology company from his previous position as CEO and co-founder of Vocal Valet, a start-up firm that created a hybrid voice/text user interface for accessing digital information.

Freewebs named Michael Burke director of ad sales. The personal publishing platform company hired Burke from his position with Yahoo as sales manager for national accounts.

ThinkingVoice and ServiceMagic partnered on pay-per-call outdoor advertising. The pay per call advertising firm partnered with the online marketplace for home owners to provide pay-per-call leads on Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings signage.

Adify hired three marketing and ad sales executives. The online vertical advertising network technology company hired Joelle Gropper Kaufman as VP of marketing, and Richard Johnson and Robert Lutsky as VPs of media sales.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of America appointed One to One Interactive as digital marketing agency of record. The non- profit organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions is a pro-bono client for One to One.

Waggener Edstrom Worldwide hired David Almacy as vice president of the agency’s Digital Strategies Group. Almacy was formerly the director of Internet and E-Communications for the White House.

Bazaarvoice named John Hamlin to its advisory board. Hamlin is president and managing partner of private equity firm Bozeman Ltd. Partnership and was formerly executive officer and senior vice president of the global online business and global brand marketing at Dell.

Univision Online picked Maven Networks for video Web portal. The Spanish-language site and interactive subsidiary of Univision Communications will use the Maven Internet TV Platform.

Horizon Media named Eileen Benwitt as executive vice president, human resources.The independent media services agency promoted Benwitt from senior vice president of human resources.

Ace Hardware signed on as launch sponsor of WeatherBug Hurricane Command Center. The retailer-owned hardware cooperative will sponsor the weather information provider’s Hurricane Command Center through hurricane season from June 1 until September 30.

World Wrestling Entertainment selected Third Screen Media for its mobile advertising initiatives.

Gannett named Michael Maness as vice president of innovation and design. The international news and information company promoted Maness from his position as vice president of strategic planning for Gannett’s Newspaper Division.

Major League Gaming acquired GotFrag.com, named Matthew Bromberg CEO and promoted Mike Sepso as chairman. The professional video game league acquired the competitive gaming online e-Sports news site for an undisclosed sum. The company also promoted Bromberg from COO and president to CEO, while current CEO and co-founder Sepso became the company’s chairman.

Thomas Taber & Drazen named Michael Stevens as director of interactive strategy and creative. The Denver-based advertising agency hired Stevens from his position as creative director for rabble+rouser.

Federated Media hired Dev Pillette as an account executive. The network for publishing and marketing services hired Pillette for its New York sales team.
