Facebook is expanding the availability of its Business Manager tool, which it says lets large advertisers easily manage ad accounts, Pages, apps, and permissions.
Business Manager is currently available to a “limited number of U.S. advertisers” but Facebook plans to roll it out internationally “within a few weeks,” the network says in a blog post.
The tool is designed to simplify marketing efforts and shows each advertiser the Pages, ad accounts, and apps linked to a brand, as well as the people on a given team and the external partners who can access those assets.
Agencies or preferred marketing developers (PMDs), on the other hand, can use Business Manager to see the Pages, ad accounts, and apps their clients allow them to access and the people on their teams with access, Facebook says.
According to the social network, Business Manager allows advertisers, agencies, and PMDs to control all aspects of their businesses on Facebook, such as adding or deleting linked ad accounts or granting and revoking permission to employees and external partners for ad accounts, apps, and Pages.
Business Manager also makes it easier for people to keep their personal and business experiences separate, as employees can use their Facebook logins to access ad accounts and Pages without having to be friends with other people from work, Facebook adds.
GroupM predicts that global ad spend will top $547 billion next year, up from $524 billion this year. While television will still capture the biggest share of that 12-figure pie (41%), digital's share will grow from 31% to 33%.
