InfoWorld Electric in San Mateo, CA said it teamed up with DoubleClick Inc. to offer its advertising clients audience targeting technology, full-service ad management and reporting capabilities.

Mike Thomas, InfoWorld Electric’s general manager, said: “The reliability and scalability of DoubleClick’s proven technology means that our advertisers will be able to target InfoWorld Electric’s audience in ways that work best for them,” including by domain, operating system or geographic location, browser, area code, etc.

InfoWorld Electric can now deliver ad banners in virtually any format, including Java, Shockwave, RealAudio, or Enliven.

InfoWorld Media Group, a unit of IDG, publishes InfoWorld Electric, a Web site that offers real-time product news, InfoWorld Test Center product comparisons, archived InfoWorld issues and interactive discussion forums.
